• Swedish actor Jarl Borssén has died
  The beloved actor and funny man Jarl Borssén has passed away at age 75. "He died after having been sick for some time," said his son Oscar Borssén. Jarl Borssén rose to fame when he participated in the Kar de Mumma-revue at Stockholm’s Folkteatern at the end of the 1960’s. He also participated in the popular TV-show “Gäster med gester” (where actors and entertainers played charades). Borssén also acted in movies like “Pippi Långstrump på de sju haven” and the erotic film “Kyrkoherden” from 1969. He also played a more serious character in the popular TV-series “Svenska hjärtan”. Borssén was called “the emperor of small means”, and became famous for his restrained comical body language and stone face. He was inspired by Alec Guinness’ and Jacques Tati’s understatement humor.

The news came on Queen Silvia’s 69th birthday (December 23). “The king and the queen along with the bridal couple decided on the date together. More details regarding the wedding will be coming as we approach the big day,” Ternert said.
